Prime Bank Limited Donates One Million Nepali Rupees to Kathmandu University for the furtherance of the Yogic Science and Well-Being program

In a commendable initiative, Prime Bank Limited demonstrated its commitment to supporting education and promoting indigenous knowledge by providing a donation of One Million Nepali Rupees to Kathmandu University for the development of Yogic Sciences initiatives of the University on 27 July 2023. The donation was made during a program held at the office of the Vice Chancellor, KU, amidst the presence of representatives from both the bank and the university.

Mr. Narayan Das Manandhar, CEO of Prime Bank, praised Kathmandu University for its pioneering efforts in establishing the Yogic Science and Well-Being program. He lauded the university's efforts in promoting and preserving indigenous knowledge in the field of Yogic Science, emphasizing the program's potential to create a positive impact on the community.

During the event, Prof. Dr. Shiva Gopal Risal, extended his best wishes and encouragement to Kathmandu University to continue its valuable work in the institutionalization of Yogic Science into the academia. He expressed his hope that the donated funds would serve as a seed investment to further enhance the development and expansion of the Yogic Science program at the university. Speaking at the event, Mr. Atmaram Pandey shared his belief that KU would consolidate and promote the indigenous knowledge found in the teachings of prominent Yog Gurus like Khaptad Swami and Shivapuri Baba and praised the commendable start KU has made in the field of Yogic Sciences.

Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, Registrar, KU, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution from Prime Bank. He acknowledged the challenges and opportunities ahead for the Yogic Science program and highlighted the importance of support from the community to ensure its success. Adding to the positive sentiments, Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Vice Chancellor of KU shared the motivation behind the inception of the Yogic Science Program. He emphasized the significance of Prime Bank's generous donation and expressed his gratitude for their commitment to supporting education and research initiatives in the field of Yogic Sciences.
